In 1998, there were 3.4 million college students in China. Last year, there were just over 20 million.
Most of this year’s 6.1 million graduates have been searching high and low for work, but they join an estimated two to three million graduates from previous years who still haven’t found jobs.
An idle workforce of millions, fresh out of school, has the skills to start finding legitimate alternative ways to generate income.
